John "Radio" Hannibal, has been a music fanatic since early childhood. He began to combine his passion for music with DJing in college radio. Summers were spent doing DJ work in clubs and bars. Eventually those club goers began to hear wedding bells and a number of them asked if he would DJ their wedding reception. Thus, a business was born. John founded Soundscapes in 1987 and has been creating happy memories for brides, grooms, their families and friends ever since.
Weekdays, 9 to 5, finds John at Audio Craft for over 10 years, designing high end audio and video systems for homes and businesses. Yes, music is his life. John's passion for music and cry for better radio programming through the years has led to The Plain Dealer saying "Radio Hannibal is the hippest station in Cleveland". In another story they said "if you love music there is no better friend on the planet than Hannibal".
Aside from his insatiable appetite for discovering new music, John works hard at being the best father he can be to his 9 year old son.
"Thank you so much for doing such a fantastic job at our wedding! We had an amazing time and so did everyone else - which had a lot to do with you!"
Renee and Alex Cherubin
"And most importantly, you were a phenomenal DJ! Song after song I was delighted by your selections. We trusted you to avoid the typical songs with the understanding that you would play them if needed, and you exceeded our expectations. I don't remember the dance floor being empty and we owe that to you."
Sarah and Gip Creviston
"You did an amazing job. It is always a good sign that people are still all over the dance floor until the last minute!!"
